It looks like BlackBerry’s rollout of BBM stickers is giving it a bit of a surge in downloads the last few days. They have even started getting some respectable rankings in terms of gross revenue with the early launch of stickers. The Stickers fad is much more popular in Asia and other countries but still it seems like the $2 sticker deals are paying off for premium sticker packs. Forbes has a great breakdown of how the stickers rollout has given BlackBerry a nice bump that may be the start of the hundreds of millions that LINE and KakaoTalk earn per quarter with Stickers.
For example in South Africa and Indonesia, BBM jumped to #3 in the iPhone social networking chart based on revenue. On top of that they are already looking to be on par with Viber in terms of sales… Now if only we had rankings for BlackBerry World.
